Did you just cite a forum post by a Sony fan on a Sony fansite as proof of something?
I think I'd be much more inclined to believe this game had they not compared it to crisis. Had they been more general and said it was incredibly beautiful or something similar, I would have easily believed it was. The way the article is written just makes the article have a huge amount of built in bias that hurts its credibility quite a bit.
The screens are also too small to really take anything away from them, so I have to wait till they show more, but as they are they don't l...
Has anyone considered why M$ isn't releasing any enormous games at the same time as MGS4 or GT5:P? The fact that M$ tends to save a lot of its titles for fall and winter to maximize sales, it's very possible that M$ just considers the competition from those games to be large enough that they don't want to waste sales going up against them.
If I were releasing a decent game that I expected moderate sales from, or (in the case of M$ rather than individual developer) many games, I...
Why would Sony do a simultaneous release of two of the more anticipated games on their system. They'd only draw sales away from each other. They might sell a butt ton of systems day one, but over the same time period they would have had without simultaneous release, they'd sell many less systems as well as games.
Hot titles well placed is also one of the biggest factors in creating buzz around your system. Would you rather have a good amount of buzz for 2-3 months, or a huge a...
I for one demand that all game related articles from here on out have "Microsoft in a panic" added to the end of them.
In this case you're right, but sometimes publishers put IP rights in the publishing contract.
MGS gets first dibs to publish ME2, not EA. That's regardless of EA owning Bioware.
Mass Effect won't go to PS3. M$ has publishing rights to Mass Effect, and the Mass Effect IP was not sold to EA. EA bought Bioware. Bioware actually has an exclusivity contract for Mass Effect (and I think a few others?) games with MGS. MGS gets first dibs on publishing for all Mass Effect games for the next few years.
I'm not saying they don't have a right to say it, but I think interviews where reps do nothing but flaunt all the good things they have without admitting any of the negatives are just harder to take at face value. If he would have gone out there and said, "we still have a few hurdles to get by in the console war" instead of "Blu-ray good, Wii gona lose" I wouldn't have turned it off half way through.
I also hate when a developer gets interviewed with a repre...
They're third part studios. If M$ had them, it would defeat the purpose.
Regardless of how PCs do it, 360 still gets HD quality. It's a matter of the engine, it has very little to do with the amount of space taken up by textures etc. If the engine outputs in HD, it's an HD game, regardless of whether or not it takes up 2 gbs or 50.
Yes, because if it's one thing the 360's lacking, it's online features.
There's no excuse for every PS3 game not to take up the entire space. 360 games would probably take up the space if they weren't compressed, so there's no reason a PS3 game uncompressed shouldn't take up a big portion of the space.
It's a very misleading comment to say that it takes up a 50gb disc without specifying how much of that data in uncompressed.
Also, did he really say the PS3 would pass the Wii THIS YEAR?
Too human is going to more than make up for it in replayability and gameplay depth. Co-Op, persistent character thru the trilogy, upgradable weapons and armor, and wide array of character classes and roles combine to make very interesting possibilities.
If you're allowed to throw in games that are still pre alpha, why are others not allowed to throw in games that aren't up to your graphical standard?
They missed a lot more games on the 360 side, and added a lot of 09 titles to the PS3 side. The fact still remains that the article is horribly inaccurate and biased.
They're barely even similar. You may as well say Fifa is a poor man's Halo. The stealth elements barely even play out similarly, the storylines have one similarity (there are spies), and the are barely in the same fictional genre.
Don't compare the two. Both are good, and both have their benefits.
Are there any numbers that don't include handhelds?
You don't use a swiss army knife for combat.
I wish the link was to the original article, not the followup.
What I don't get is the second last paragraph. He essentially says that it's a huge problem, and he's not going to do anything about it. It's just incredibly anti-climactic. "I could write a letter, but I wont because microsoft should find the things I have a problem with for me. PS: M$ you should hire me." how stupid is he? Using the press is fine, but you should still email M$ anyway.

Yea, they'll see those 3 titles, for 2 months during the summer when sales are already low to begin with. Then fall will hit and you'll have a lot of brand new 360 titles going up against those same exclusives that are now 2-3 months old.
There just isn't much point to releasing anything now when it's just going to get eclipsed right now.
